Software Engineer

RCS has immediate openings in our Dayton office for Software Engineers to design, develop, and test application software using C++ for real-time transaction processing applications. The desired candidate must be independent, self-motivated, have excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with customers. The successful candidate must also possess solid technical skills and a detailed understanding of client-server architectures using Microsoft platforms and development tools.

Other job responsibilities include:

- interface with customers and other vendors in the analysis and design of integrated solutions.
- Provide product support, problem analysis and resolution
- Light travel required depending upon project needs
- Some Visual Basic

Job Skills Profile

Required Skills: C++, Visual C++, Client/Server Systems Experience, MS/BS Degree in a related field
Desired Skills: Object-Oriented Design / Object-Oriented Programming, Microsoft Visual Studio, COM/DCOM experience

QA Analyst

RCS has immediate openings in our Dayton Office for Quality Assurance Analysts that are self motivated, have been successful ensuring quality throughout the software development lifecycle, including specifications, test planning, test case creation/execution, using test automation tools, defect tracking, interfacing with developers.

Other Job Responsibilities:

·    Can evaluate customer requirements

·    May conduct System/compatibility tests between customer and other vendor provided programs.

·    Exercises test data and inputs into software to test program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and   conformance to establishment standards and requirements.

·    Collects and reviews software output (file, paper media, etc.) during program test to detect error codes or interruption of program.

·     Monitors program performance after implementation to prevent recurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.

Required Skills:

·  2+ years experience testing software applications

·  Thorough understanding of test methodologies and overall QA processes

·  Must have detailed knowledge of complete software lifecycle and software development process

·  Must be very process oriented

·  Strong communications and analytical problem solving skills

·  Must have strong technical skills, self initiative, be a quick learner and work well with minimal supervision

  Experience interfacing with customers and software engineers to resolve issues

·  Experience in technical writing and requirements definition

·  Experience writing detailed test scripts with minimal guidance

·  Experience executing test scripts

·  Must be a team oriented person

·  Experience with Test automation tools, WinRunner, TestDirector

·  Strong communications
