Powered by our Retail Transaction Engine (RTE), our product offerings extend from Point-of-Service applications to back office applications that streamline and fully automate in-store operations. The RTE provides a technology infrastructure specially designed for the high throughput transaction processing needs of a large Retail operation. It is the RTE that has enabled RCS to migrate our customers to new technologies while preserving the investments in existing hardware and software. We recognize the value in leveraging existing assets and specialize in integrating the types of disparate systems commonly found in large retail enterprises. The key technology element of RTE that allows us to integrate with existing applications/systems and preserve investments better than the competition is the RTE Message Router. The RTE Message Router enables access to critical enterprise data at strategic system locations that we call Transaction Access Points, or TAPs. These TAPs vary based on application and customer requirements, are completely configurable, and non-intrusive to real-time store operations. In fact, real-time is the key - via the RTE Message Router all Transaction Access Points allow real-time data to be viewed, collected, manipulated, forwarded - whatever the need, without affecting other system components. The RTE Message Router is an integration and Transaction Processing component that has no rival in the industry.
